LANDS WHERE TALES ARE TALL

January 27th , 2007

Time flies. It flies like a bird; maybe an albatross, all graceful in flight and clumsy when landing. Unless that Disney movie was bending the facts. I think it was called The Rescuers. Just in case there was any real doubt as to what they did. Or do. I'm not sure if they're still in the biz.

Their Majesties, on the other hand, are a whole nuther cup of tea, being that they is (are) still in the business of music making, performing, writing and recording. Perhaps the surface looks calm and glassy, like Lake Placid before a crocodile (or maybe alligator, depending on who you ask) attack. But don't let this lull you into a false sense of security. Gears are turning, propelled by gerbils and compliant apes.

In fact, Their Majesties recently entered the ECHO CHAMBER to record some tracks. More detail on the songs when they is (are) done. Until then, here are some inspiring pictures detailing the "Birth of Art".

In February, Their Majesties will be playing some shows. You can see these shows by going to see them. The SHOWS section can tell you the following things; Date, Time, Location, and Cost. Adjust plans accordingly. Check often and oftener for updates.

In March, Their Majesties head to Ontario, for a Residency at the Drake Hotel in Toronto. This means 4 shows, once a week, for a month. Come watch the boys wear out their welcome. Additional tour dates will be peppered across the province, like when you sprinkle pepper on something. Additionally, this means you'll have to check the SHOWS section even oftener than oftener. For those who don't understand words like "oftener" and "oftenerier" - well, they mean Oftenerierian. It's a lot of something, not a doctor.

Finally, in April, the band will embark on what has been tentatively called the "Fuck Exams Tour 07", with good friend and fellow philanthropist BA Johnston. Hopefully all the students will be studying for their exams, and won't be able to make it to the shows. This will only add to the totally cool, don't-give-two-shit-edness of the tour name. Has the SHOWS section been mentioned, by the way? That's where all you students can go to figure out which nights you'll be studying, apparently. Philanthropy indeed.

That just might do it for news. Questions, comments, queries, inquiries and in-kwer-ies can be sent to info@theirmajesties.com; they will then be personally deleted from the in-box by a band member of your choice! Not!

'night .
